We’re happy to announce that arcantus is from now on distributed by the German distributor Note1, based in Heidelberg. They’re delivering to the German and Austrian market directly, furthermore, they’re collaborating with a number of international distributors, so that our CDs are available internationally on the relevant markets even better than before.
Together with Anna Paradiso, Mats Olofsson and Jonas Nordberg, Clara Guldberg Ravn has completed the Flute Sonatas by Martinus Ræhs on her second CD (arc 22031). We congratulate the prominent cast for being nominated for the ICMA-Award 2023 – and keep our fingers crossed for the final round!
With a first single with Sacred Concerts by Anton Colander, the Ensemble LPDM launches a series of releases, a collection with the title „Schola Sagittariana“. It celebrates the 350th anniversary of the death of Heinrich Schütz. The project comprises revelations of quite unknown composers who studied with Schütz. A very interesting kaleidoscope of that time.
As a preview on the upcoming album with the revelatory title „Mr. Händel im Pub“ (Mr. Handel in the pub) the ensemble I Zefirelli already presents a single as a digital release with stirring folk tunes in London’s baroque style.
The Praetorius-Album of the ensemble La Protezione della Musica is presented in detail in the programme „Die neue Platte“ – apart from the editorial value during the Praetorius anniversary year, the experimentiveness and surety of style are praised.

After getting two nominations already for the renowned ICMA-Award 2016, arcantus is happy to announce that there is another nomination for the ICMA-Award 2018: The newest disc of the ensemble Los Temperamentos, „Amor y Locura“ got this nomination – so keep Your fingers crossed! The winners will be announced in 2018.
The French magazine Classica thinks in his edition of July/August, the programme of the CD of the Orchestre de Douai – Hauts de France is very „ch’ti“. This refers to the binding tie for this recording, the two great composers of nothern France, Lalo and Roussel.

The World Trombone Quartet, consisting of four of the most famous trombone players, Jörgen van Rijen, Joseph Alessi, Michel Becquet and Stefan Schulz, publishes his first CD „Just for Fun“ with the label arcantus. An impressive recording, we’re joyfully listening – just for fun!
In a radio programme of the Deutschlandfunk, the new CD of the ensemble 4.1 gets a very detailed and positive review and is recommended as a very successful debut CD. Find the review here (in German).
