Kati Raitinen combines her work as solo cellist in the Royal Opera Orchestra in Stockholm with wide-ranging engagements in domestic and international chamber-music. As a member of the string trio ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen she has received multiple Swedish Grammy Awards. Besides CD-recordings, she has made numerous recordings for radio and television, the most recent being the official world premiere of Amanda Maier’s piano trio. Kati studied in Helsinki with Prof. Martti Rousi and in Stockholm with Prof. Frans Helmerson. She plays on an unknown Italian instrument, probably from Rome around 1750.
